The best women's tennis players in the world are coming to the desert. The 2026 WTA Finals take over the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from November 8 to 15, with tickets starting at $75 and the top eight singles players and top eight doubles teams of the season playing for a share of one of the biggest prize pools in women's sports.

For anyone who loves the Coachella Valley, this is the perfect excuse to come early, tour a few communities and settle in before the winter calendar fills up. Season officially kicks off November 1, and the snowbirds are already heading back.

Who is playing in the 2026 WTA Finals

Eight singles players and eight doubles teams earn a spot through a season long points race. Here is who has officially qualified so far:

  • Elena Rybakina, the defending champion, the new world No. 1 and this year's US Open champion
  • Aryna Sabalenka, qualifying for the sixth year in a row after winning Indian Wells, Miami and Brisbane in 2026
  • Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, doubles
  • Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani, doubles
  • Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic, doubles

Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva and Coco Gauff were sitting near the top of the race in mid September, and the remaining spots lock in through October. Check wtatennis.com for the final field. The singles champion lifts the Billie Jean King Trophy and the doubles champions take home the Martina Navratilova Trophy.

The prize money is real

Last year, Elena Rybakina collected $5.23 million after going 5 and 0 at the event, the largest payout in the history of women's sports. Runner-up Aryna Sabalenka earned $2.7 million. Expect the same energy and the same stakes in the desert this November.

Tournament day basics: gates, parking, bags and more

A few details from the WTA make the day easier:

  • Gates open at 10:30 AM, and practice courts are open to fans, so arriving early is part of the fun
  • On-site parking is available, with general, preferred, premium and accessible options
  • The venue is cashless, and cards and mobile payments are accepted everywhere
  • Clear bags and small personal bags are welcome, subject to inspection
  • Umbrellas, laptops, tablets, outside food and pets are not allowed inside
  • The Order of Play is typically released the evening before each day
  • Children need a ticket unless they are 2 or younger and sitting on a lap
  • You can step out and re-enter the same day
